The Contempee Story

Who we are 



Contempee is a modern homeware e-commerce brand specialising in faux floral arrangements and vases. Passionate about interiors, Contempee aim to provide affordable luxury, empowering everyone to make their home beautiful. Our product range encompasses Scandi, minimalist, Japandi and boho styles for a contemporary approach to home decor. Selling to both individuals and businesses, we work with a selection of spas, hotels and resturants, helping to elevate their interiors with Contempee products. 


When it all started 



Contempee was founded back in April 2021, shortly after its founder Thomas and his partner moved into their first home together. As they began to decorate their home, they became engrossed in the interior world and found a shared passion for contemporary home decor. Not long after, Contempee was born.

Where it all started 



Quickly outgrowing the spare room, Contempee started out in a storage unit just 250 square foot. In the two years since, the business has outgrown four units, and most recently moved into a warehouse 7000 square foot. From 250 to 7000 in just two years - that’s quite the jump! 


"In just under 18 months, I went from packing parcels in the spare room to a 250 square foot storage unit and then a 2000 square foot warehouse with several staff members. I thought that the warehouse would be big enough for the next two years of growth but I was wrong! Out growing it in just 10 months, we have now moved to a new 7000 square foot warehouse and are expanding our product range even further." - Thomas Ellens, Founder. 

Our product range

Contempee’s bestselling faux pampas, made of silk, is what skyrocketed the initial success. The pampas grass trend has been incredibly popular since 2018, but there were limited faux options on the market. As beautiful as it is, real, dried pampas makes a lot of mess due to shedding, and so we knew that there was a need for a quality artificial option. Our fluffy Faux Pampas gives our customers the look of real pampas, without any mess. We now have an ever-expanding product range including stunning faux flowers, glass and outline vases, wall art and more - with even more in the pipeline!

Where we’re headed 



Our vision remains the same - to provide beautiful, modern and most importantly, quality yet affordable home accessories to all. We understand the effect our homes have on our wellbeing and believe everyone deserves a beautiful and luxurious home to relax in! As we continue to grow and expand into new territories, we stay committed to providing high quality products and excellent customer service.
